AGV and AMR Automation
Precise Control, Fleet Management, SLAM Navigation
Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) are increasingly becoming an integral part of modern intralogistics solutions. A flexible, open control architecture is a key factor in this regard. This allows AGVs and AMRs to be easily integrated into the material flow and used in mixed operations with other industrial trucks.
Compact, vibration-resistant hardware
With 35 years of experience in industrial automation, SIGMATEK possesses expert know-how in the automation of AGVs and AMRs: reliable, precise control, integrated safety technology, and dynamic drive technology. Our compact S-DIAS system is robustly built and can be configured in a modular fashion to create a customized solution for your AGV or AMR. Data is transmitted between the individual AGVs and the master controller via Wi-Fi.
Managing FTF/AMR Fleets
Are you looking for software to network and coordinate your FTF and AMR models—even when used in conjunction with automated guided vehicles (AGVs) from different manufacturers? Then our Traffic Control System (TCS) offers a comprehensive solution. The fleet management software coordinates transport orders, handles route planning, optimizes transport orders using the integrated fleet simulation, and supports standardized interfaces such as VDA 5050. SLAM maps can be easily and directly integrated.
Real-Time SLAM Navigation
AGVs and AMRs continuously monitor whether they are following their planned route. To achieve this, contour-based laser navigation is increasingly being used, as it eliminates the need for installing artificial landmarks. Production facilities, warehouses, and goods receiving and dispatch areas are environments that change constantly due to moving racks, pallets, and other objects. In such dynamic settings, the SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) navigation method is an ideal solution.
During navigation, AGVs and AMRs continuously compare the scanned real-world environment with the environmental features stored in the map while dynamically updating the map in real time. SIGMATEK has developed an open real-time localization software solution called SlamLoc, which takes contour-based navigation to the next level. SlamLoc is operational within minutes, requires no pre-installed maps, and determines the vehicle's pose in real time with an accuracy of ±10 mm and ±0.1°, even in environments with significantly changing contours.
